Pet Surgery in Omaha

We know that it can be a stressful time when your pet needs an operation. At Florence Animal Hospital, we’ll be with you every step of the way.

We start by providing complete pre-operative information for you and your pet – this includes when to keep them from eating the night before the operation to a full schedule of the day of the operation. If your pet is going under anesthesia, we require blood work to make sure they’re healthy enough for the operation.

Our veterinary team is highly skilled and trained to take care of your pet during surgery. Our licensed veterinary technicians monitor your pet’s vital signs, keep them warm, and provide them with special attention and care before, during, and after the procedure. Our staff uses safe and effective anesthesia and pain relief during your pet’s procedure to keep them as comfortable as possible.

Once your pet is out of surgery, we’ll contact you right away and make sure that you have all of the information to bring your pet home comfortable and ready to begin healing.

Soft Tissue Surgery

This is any surgery not related to bones or joints. It can be routine elective procedures such as neuters and spays to much more complicated intra-abdominal surgeries. It also includes mass removals and cosmetic surgery. Our veterinary personnel do a careful evaluation that determines whether or not your pet requires soft tissue surgery. We strive to make your pet’s procedure as safe and comfortable as possible before, during, and after the surgery.
